The Inspiration
Born in Las Vegas, and raised amidst fashion from the early age of three, Devon was influenced by 70's hot
designer-to-the-stars Suzy Creamcheese, gaining a sense of style that is embodied in his work today. During his adolescence he
was introduced to an array of celebrities, including Dionne Warwick, Ann-Margaret, Shirley Maclaine, Diana Ross, Elvis, and Cher.
On any given day, these clients of his aunt Suzy could be seen shopping in her trendy and elegant boutique. Recognizing that
celebrities embody a certain magic, he was inspired to live a glamorous life.
When he was 15, Devon moved with his family to Houston, where he was accepted to the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts.
Finding he had an obsessive passion for both photography and make-up, he picked up both the camera and brushes at this time, realizing
they would be his vehicle to achieving his future success.
Following graduation, he worked the Houston fashion scene; but, deciding he wanted more diversity, set his sights on New York City,
and by the age of 21 found himself working with New York's major fashion photographers.
At 22 Devon opened his first studio. His assignments included working with major record companies, as well as CELEBRATED ACTORS, R&B
SINGERS, OPERA DIVAS, JAZZ GREATS, MODELS AND EXECUTIVES. Creating unique looks for each of them, he refined their images to project a more
updated, professional, star-quality status.
