Beyond Black-n-White
The Balance of Yang and Yin La CoffeeMelodie Suite
Beyond Black-n-White
Everything is part of a whole. Everything has its balance.
One of the things that has always intrigued me about the universe- creation, if you will- is that I, as a very small
part, am defined by it. After all, I am a product of it, and owe to it everything I was, am and will be.
At the same time it, too, is defined by me; for, without my existence it would be a different place. Much like a
single cell in my body carries my genetic blueprint, my existence as well carries upon it the blueprint of the
universe. I could come from nowhere else.
Opposites define each other, creating a context to provide a balance in and to all things. Put another way- perhaps
the opposite way!- there are no opposites. Instead, everything is part of a whole, and everything has its balance-
black and white, left and right, up and down- almost like a shadow or reflection.
Even ideas have opposites: good and bad, polite and rude, beautiful and ugly... The only difference is that people
don't always agree on such things. But it should be clear they are all entitled to their ideas, just as you are
to yours. And if, out of necessity, good brings bad, polite rude and beautiful ugly, does it really matter, anyway?
Things are...in all ways.
