This video was taken on the day of the last rehearsal of Espresso Opera - A Gala Operatic Concert (April 21st, 2007) Tu lo sai, performed by Salvatore Motisi tenor and co-producer of Espresso Opera was born and raised in Sicily, Italy but has spent most of his life as a resident in the US. His gleaming Italianate heroic tenor voice has been heard from Europe to South America and all over the United States. His favorite roles are Manrico (Il Trovatore), Radames (Aida), Carlo (Don Carlo), Chenier (Andrea Chenier), Enzo (La Gioconda) and Turiddu (Cavalleria Rusticana). He has the ability to sing roles running the gamut from Edguardo (Lucia di Lammermoor) to Otello. He has recently sung Manrico (Il Trovatore) for Espresso Opera as well as Otello. Mr. Motisi believes that Otello, La Forza del Destino, Andrea Chenier, La Goiconda, Don Carlo and, of course, Cavalleria Rusticana hold challenging roles for the tenor to sing with a truly open throat, which one hears very rarely these days.

Baritone Ralph Schatzki has appeared with some of the leading opera companies in the US, including the Florida Grand Opera, Sarasota Opera and Chautauqua Opera. After moving to Thailand in 1991, he appeared in several productions with the Bangkok Opera, performing such roles as: Don Giovanni, Amonasro, Das Sprecher, Aeneas, and three roles in two world premiere productions. He also performed the role of Scarpia with Lyric Opera Malaysia and Singapore Lyric Opera. After returning to the US in 2005, he has been seen in performances by Espresso Opera, Chelsea Opera and Taconic Opera, performing the roles of Tonio, Don Giovanni, Di Luna and Alfio. Experienced in oratorio as well, he has performed solo roles in The Messiah, Carmina Burana, and the Requiems of Brahms, Fauré, Mozart and Duruflé.
